How it all started...
In the spring of 2020, when the UK was plunged into what became the first of several lockdowns, I started a daily email service for my subscribers called Hey Beautiful!
The idea was to offer words of support, encouragement and motivation as we all tried to cope with what felt, at times, like a very surreal, destabilising and frightening time.
I wrote every day and gradually my subscriber list grew. I started to hear from women around the country who told me that they found the daily emails really helpful, which spurred me on to write more. By the time the last lockdown ended, I’d written over 300 daily messages and daily affirmations. By then, of course, life was starting to get back to some kind of normal and that meant I started to become busy once again with work and other commitments. Finding time to write every day became challenging, and so, reluctantly, I made the decision to stop.
Though the daily emails may have stopped, I wanted to share some of my favourites so I’ve gathered them all together in a book. I hope you enjoy reading 100 Daily Affirmations for Women as much as I enjoyed writing them. I hope they bring you comfort, inspiration, encouragement, love, a calm mind and a peaceful heart!
