RTT for Children and Teenagers
Rapid Transformational Therapy is a powerful form of hypnotherapy that I have seen deliver real and effective results working with children, teenagers and their parents.
I work with children from the ages of three upwards, treating a variety of issues including, but not limited to:
- Anxiety (including GAD, panic disorder, OCD, phobias and social anxiety)
- Body Image
- Confidence and Self-Esteem
- Driving test preparation/ passing the test
- Eating issues
- Exam preparation including the 11+, Common Entrance and Senior Schools, GCSEs, A Levels and University exams
- Focus and concentration
- Family issues including divorce and separation
- Nail biting (and other habits including skin picking, hair pulling etc)
- Problems at school including school refusal
- Sleep (insomnia, nightmares, frequent night time waking)
As well as their RTT session with me, children and their parents receive coaching support for the duration of the treatment and beyond if necessary.
RTT for children and teens - what's involved?
A child who is struggling rarely does so in isolation. Having a child go through difficult issues impacts the whole family, including parents and siblings and sometimes the wider, extended family. Often the child’s issues become the focus of parents’ time and energy and the family dynamic becomes unbalanced and skewed.
For this reason I rarely work with children without offering support sessions to parents and caregivers as well.
While I tailor RTT and support to the needs of the individual child or teen and his or her parents, my recommended RTT Essentials Plus plan for your child or teen would look like this:
RTT Junior Essentials Package
Initial complimentary phone consultation with you.
Initial complimentary Zoom consultation call with your child.
First RTT session with your child via Zoom
First follow-up with you.
(2 days after RTT via email)
Second follow-up with you.
(7 to 10 days after RTT – via email)
Final follow-up with you.
(21 – 28 days after RTT – via email)
At the end of the 28 day RTT programme we’ll have a chat and discuss whether further support might be needed either in the form of a second or third RTT session, coaching or additional hypnosis recordings. Email and phone support is also available during working hours for the duration of the 21 days.
The purpose of the initial Zoom session with your child is to create some familiarity using Zoom and also an opportunity for them to tell me in their own words the issue they are experiencing. It’s also to make sure they are comfortable working with me as their hypnotherapist and for me to learn more about any disabilities that I might need to take into consideration, such as a hearing impairment, for example.
RTT can work in as little as a single 28-day cycle, but for more complex issues like anxiety, it’s helpful and realistic to expect it to take two or three sessions for complete change to occur.
Our younger child is much more confident in his new school and is so happy to play with his new friends, and our older child's sense of self has improved greatly as well. I give Dawn and her process of hypnotherapy for children my highest recommendation. I'm overjoyed to have found her online; the process has changed our family for the better.

Isaac – a case study (by Isaac’s mum)
When our 15 year old son started having horrific panic attacks regarding school which reduced him to a shaking, cowering ball, knowing where to turn for help was difficult to say the least.
Our first phone call with Dawn filled me with such hope that someone understood and could help. After three sessions with Dawn our son has found that he can manage his anxiety and he has found so much strength all because of her support. Dawn also helped myself and my husband understand how much support we needed as well.
Dawn’s advice right at the start was to give my son space and allow him the time to move forward when he was ready and when it came from him. It was a difficult lesson for me and my husband but a really important one!
In September 2020, Isaac started 6th Form. He has not been anxious at all. He looks so different, so many people mention it. He no longer looks haunted, he stands tall and looks so relaxed. From where we were a few months ago the change is monumental. The way he can cope with his feelings will now stay with him forever just as Dawn said.
Dawn has made such a difference in his life and we will always be grateful. We are so thankful to Dawn for her calm, rational ongoing support for our family.
